Billund Airport (BLL) or

Most guests doing

How often does the ferry sail?

The ferry, which
arrives/departs just 4 km. from the BeechHill Suite and connects you to the
Danish capital of Copenhagen is the most direct connection when you have
rented a car at CPH. The ferry runs approximately every 2 hours en each
direction and the ride takes only 45 minutes.
During the trip you can
enjoy a nice meal, whether it is the breakfast, lunch or dinner buffet (all
you can eat) for for less than $20.00. The transit time from Copenhagen
Airport to BeechHill Suite in car via the ferry connection Odden-Ebeltoft
amounts to an absolute minimum of 2 hours, if you arrive to the ferry just
before departure. You might want to estimate at least 2.50 hours transit time.

How is the nature around
Ebeltoft? The
unique nature around Ebeltoft is the result of the last part of the Ice Age,
where the ice, which had started to melt, was affected by a cold period. A
glacier, divided into two pieces, pushed materials of earth, gravel and
stones in front of it and formed the heights behind the present covers of
Kalø Bay and Ebeltoft Bay and not least the famous Mols
Bjerge (Mols Mountains). The area has been appointed as one of the first,
future Danish National Parks due to its unique experiences throughout the
year.

In springtime, the broom is in flower with its
characteristic yellow colors and in summer time ther are a large number
of wild flowers. In autum you can look for mushrooms and enjoy the many
different types of wood, with their special play of colors. In the
wintertime may people prefer to go hiking either on their own or by
following the marked hiking trails at Mols Bjerge. If there is snow
during the wintertime, it is possible to go out skiing or sledging
dependent on your temperament.
Ebeltoft and Mols are
encircled by water and, therefore, there are many possibilities of using
water for swimming, sailing or fishing or just enjoy looking at it with
cold drink at sunset. |

Humming festivals and happy
people East
Jutland is famous for its many musical and cultural festivals. It all begins
with the sailing Riverboat Jazz Festival in Silkeborg, and ends with a
ten-day long musical-cultural event: Århus Festuge in the beginning of
September. During the summer you can experience the atmosphere of the
festivals on stages, in the city and in the nature, regardless of your taste
in music, we are sure that you will be able to find a festival that will
make you happy.
| |
|
| Also in the
smaller villages we gather to celebrate. Markets, animal fairs, sporting
events and folk events are part of life in the villages during the
summer. And if you wish to experience a unique event, join in when the
young riders, right after Whit Sunday, ride "the summer into the
village" at Nordby on Samsø. Or when the 100 habitants of the
neighbouring island Tunø invite everybody to join four days of fun, jazz
and blues. Traveling circuses raise their tents all over East Jutland,
and at the riding sports centre Vilhelmsborg you can find international
competitions and fabulous horse shows all year round. |
